Pop the Rock Japan Music Showcase is our new annual concert showcase created to welcome the many sounds of Japanese Pop Music!! From Rock to Pop, Anime themes to Sentai, and even Japanese Hip Hop and R&B - Pop the Rock will bring them all! We're putting together an incredible first show featuring artists making their American debut, a dope MC, and fan requested return acts for more concerts than ever before and other great entertainment! The First Annual AKIBA FEST: POP THE ROCK JAPAN MUSIC SHOWCASE was a fun energetic night filled with concerts that rocked the house and energetic J-music fans! But the fun actually had it's start in Washington DC at the Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival where the PTRJMS Entertainers gave an awesome preview performance of what to expect later in the night.

PTRJMS 2009 was held at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD and it was non stop fun from the second our hosts Rob Lantz and Aya Foxx stepped on stage and introduced Shing02 and DJ Icewater and ran down the line with Sister Mayo, Takayoshi Tanimoto, Unicorn Table and headliners, Psychic Lover!
